Ali’s Class Information and Policies
Choosing a Class
The age recommendations outlined for Kindermusik classes have been carefully constructed to group children according to their age and stage of development.
Cuddle and Bounce Classes – 0 to 12 months (lap babies, crawlers, non walkers)
Sing and Play Classes – rising 1s to 2 years (early walkers)
Wiggle and Grow Classes – 18 months to 3 years
Laugh and Learn Classes– 3 to 4 years Preschool
Move and Groove – 4 to 6 years After School
I would be happy to schedule a free visit to any of my classes as a taster. Please let me know if you have friends who are interested.
Register Early/At Home Materials
Although you may join the class at any time, subject to places, please register early as the class sizes are small and may fill quickly. Registering at least 3 weeks prior to starting ensures that your child’s At Home materials will be available at their first class. These are an integral part of the course and each child requires a set. They are high quality materials and are designed to support the child’s learning experience at home. These are included in the overall cost of the programme.
Tuition refunds may only be given if there are extenuating circumstances requiring withdrawal from class. All refund requests will be considered on an individual basis.
Unfortunately the cost of the At Home materials is non-refundable as these have to be paid for by me in advance of classes.
Classes will be made up in the event of teacher illness or extreme weather. I will notify you of the dates and times. Please check your email, facebook for more information when relevant.
Due to the limited class sizes and the delicacy of the younger class settings, Baby and Toddler Classes can only accommodate siblings when they are young enough to stay contented in a car seat or buggy. Please ask Ali if you would like to bring a younger sibling to your class – this is normally no problem as babies love watching all the activities!
Making the most of Classes
Please try to arrive 5-10 minutes early for class. This allows time for the children to settle in.
Please leave juice cups, snacks and any other distractions out of sight prior to class. Your child’s drinks or snacks could be distracting for other children.
Dress comfortably. Show respect for others at all times. The most important thing you can do for your child is to be an active role model in class. Most children take a while to get used to new situations, so don’t be discouraged if they are shy at first. Your patience and understanding is the key to helping them feel comfortable.
Please do make active use of the Digital @Home Materials. This will make a difference to your child’s enjoyment of music both inside and outside the class situation. These resources are put together by experts in both music and child development and can really enhance your child’s experience.
If you have any questions or concerns relating to the classes, you can contact me on the contact Ali page linked below.
